3. Professional Learning offerings/opps

  • Open Education Week webinar Thurs March 12, 11 AM (30 min) – BCOER webinar for Librarians – (about librarians and role with OER; what BCOER is doing and tools we’ve created to help) Presenters: Erin, Leva available (maybe Amanda)
  • Note: Can support faculty by identifying content for inclusion in LMS (identifying gaps in the textbooks and link to content using PURLS – develop a common place for inclusion of content);
  • BCLA May 20-22n Friday afternoon: BCOER presentation (Presenters: Caroline, Brenda, & Rajiv J. Faculty) Also BCcampus booth Thurs/Friday – Leva/Amanda (Others? Debra )
  • BCcampus OT summit May 28/29 Call for Proposals – To submit one on BCOER Librarians http://otsummit.bccampus.ca/2015-call-for-proposals; Presenters: Caroline, Leva (maybe Erin)

7. Suggestions for outreach/info sharing – what about an Open Ed interest group (BCLA list) or does it make sense to post to alps? or create a newsletter ? Google group? Is this duplicating effort ? (use a tool to co-curate so it is not one person doing this e.g. SCoop.it? Diigo?)

Connecting with CCCOER or OE Consortium (Leva member of list)

  • Debra will followup with Rowen at BCLA on protocol to use the academic librarians list and also we could survey BCLA members at the conference
